forgotten post

I was just going through the visual diary and realised that I forgot to do few post on the blog...
This is one of them. It relates to the religious aspect of the project, the visual resemblance of it to religious iconography.

every part of the reach I did for this project informed the way it looks now no matter if I decided to take from it or completely disregard the source / artist / work / certain aesthetic / style.

Frank Horvat

Found this image while flicking thorough a a book in the library about body in photography.
The similarity to one of my images (see the visual diary) is really uncanny.
He's other work is predominantly fashion and photojournalism, conceptually very far from my work.
It's interesting how in a way the circle is kinda closing itself, I've started this project by "copying" / restating images created by others and while fishing I find this image that looks almost exactly like one in my series, like I've restaged Horvat's photograph.

instant film experiments

they worked out ok but as they are so small you can't really see any details etc
the size is a big problem, they simply don't work at all
i also scanned the polaroids with this idea in mind to blow them up and print really big
the idea is to print on cheap not photographic paper (something like rice paper)
it will lose the details but but i was hoping it might gain some quality at the same time
why i'm i doing this? i have this though that the body of work as it is presented at the moment might lack something and by experimenting with different presentations, different ways of printing i hoping to confirm that (by finding they way they should look) or deny (by deciding that there isn't a better way of presenting it
I made one print from blown up polaroid so far (in visual diary)
